At The School of Port City Ballet, our professional program begins at age 6 because we believe that strong technique and artistry are built on solid foundations from the very beginning. By starting young, dancers develop proper alignment, strength, and musicality early on, setting them up for success as they grow into more advanced training

At our highest level, our full time training program is 20 hours per week of ballet, jazz, body conditioning, pointe and contemporary classes. Currently, all hours are after school and on Saturdays. Schedules are arranged so students can have two days per week off of dance to focus on their academic studies, to properly rest, and spend time with family and friends.

Absolutely! We have a very robust associate program ages 3 to Adult for dancers who have found the joy of dance but do not wish to pursue a career path in dance. This is often a gateway to our Pre Professional Program as teachers have plenty of opportunities to work with and assess students on a regular basis.

Absolutely! Our faculty have taught classes at many studios throughout Nova Scotia and students are very familiar with Miss Nova. If you’re from another studio and wish to attend our workshops or intensives you are most welcome!
